Georgia A. Wilson

Georgia A. Wilson (nee Harmon) a longtime Waukesha resident passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the age of 94. She was born in Peoria, IL on February 22, 1923 the daughter of Henry and Mae (nee Williams) Harmon. Georgia came to Waukesha in 1928, attended Randall School and was a 1940 graduate of Waukesha High School. In 1941 she married Marvin Wilson; he preceded her in death on November 23, 2006 after 65 years of marriage. Georgia worked at the Parkway Pharmacy in downtown Waukesha. After her children were grown, she worked at the Chocolate House and then went to work at Waukesha Wholesale Foods, retiring after 19 years as accounts payable and cash accountant. She loved anything connected with math. She was a member of Ascension Lutheran Church for 62 years. Georgia always liked to sew, mend things and knit when she could. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and loved NASCAR, especially Matt Kenseth. Most of all she loved to do things for and with her family.

She will be sadly missed by her son, Terry Wilson of Albany, N.Y.; her daughter, Judie (Don) Suleski of Waukesha; her five grandchildren, Matthew (Catherine) Wilson of Averill Park, N.Y., Kelly “Kip” (Bernardo) Wilson-Rechea of Melrose, MA, Jason Suleski of Oshkosh, Jonathan (Khara) Suleski of Waukesha and Amanda Suleski of Waukesha and her great-grandchildren, Megan Wilson, Amelia Wilson, twins Lyra and Violeta Rechea, Talon Suleski, Sydney Anderson and Jacob Anderson. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband Marvin, she was preceded in death by her daughter Dorothy Wilson on June 19, 1991, brother Glenn Harmon and sister Mary Bralick.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the 11:00 a.m. funeral service at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1415 Dopp St., Waukesha, WI 53186. Reverend Chris Marien will preside. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at Highland Memorial Park in New Berlin. Please meet at the cemetery. Memorials are appreciated to Ascension Lutheran Church or the American Cancer Society, N19 W24350 Riverwood Drive, Waukesha, WI 53188.
