George Conant

George L. Conant, of Waukesha died on Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 87.  He was born in Bessmer, Michigan on June 21, 1922.  On September 4, 1947 he married Ione Jorgensen in Bessmer, Michigan.  He worked for the Conservation Corp Camps in northern Wisconsin during the depression and worked for Waukesha Bearings for many years.  George loved to golf at Moor Downs Golf Course and was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church for 62 years. He will be dearly missed by his wife Ione of Waukesha, their daughters: Gail (Richard) Hartung of Salt Lake City, UT and Debbie (Scott) Bednarek of New Berlin, his grandchildren: Alex (Kathy) Obradovich of West Allis, Amber Obradovich of Hales Corners and Beth (Hamlet) Soria of Salt Lake City, UT, his great-grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Jessica, Logan, Sadie and Gianna.  George is further survived by his sister Theresa along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  He is preceded in death by his brother Bernard, his sister Lela, and his parents.  No formal services will be held.
