Franklyn Alonge

August 14, 1949 — October 3, 2009

Franklyn G. Alonge of Waukesha, died Saturday, October 3, 2009 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 60.  He was born on August 14, 1949 in Milwaukee, the son of Franklyn P. and June A. (Sommerfeld) Alonge.  Frank graduated from Pewaukee High School, and later received a teaching degree from UW-Milwaukee in 1971.  He was employee at Briggs and Stratton from 1976 to 1998, then worked for Huffy Sports, Milsco Manufacturing, Colders, and most recently Chase Bank - New Berlin Branch.  With a love of hunting and fishing, Frank belonged to Ducks Unlimited, and Pheasants Forever.  He enjoyed spending time with his sons, hunting fishing, camping, and spending time in the outdoors. He was a member of the Trend Traders Club, and a previous member of YMCA Indian Guides when his children were young.  He was also a parish member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church since 1998.    Frank will be deeply missed by his two sons:  Phillip Alonge of Waukesha and Nathan Alonge, of Eau Claire; and his mother, June A. Alonge of Slinger, WI.  He was preceded in death by his father and siblings: Grant Alonge and Raechelle Brasted.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 5:00 PM until the 7:00 PM funeral Mass at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, W. State Hwy 59, Waukesha, WI.  Fr. James Loehr will preside.  Burial will be held on Friday, October 9 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Waukesha.  Please meet at the cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials made to the family are appreciated.
