Frances Vega

Frances Garcia Vega, age 87 of Waukesha, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Mount Carmel Medical Rehab in Burlington.  She was born on October 10, 1921 in Texas, the daughter of Ventura and Lucinda (Cadena) Garcia.  Frances was united in marriage to Frank Vega; he preceded her in death on September 12, 1997.  She was employed at the Waukesha County Courthouse in maintenance until retirement, and was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Frances will be sadly missed by her children:  John (Olivia) Vega of Texas, Matt Vega of Waukesha, Alvin (Sheila) Vega of Phillips, WI, Ray Vega of Waukesha, Joe Jessie (Jackie) Vega of Waukesha, Patsy (Robert) Carlson of South Dakota, Frances (Jessie) Ferris of Burlington, and Pearl (Michael) Viehweg of Wind Lake; 49 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, and many great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren; siblings:  Ben (Frances) Garcia of Colorado, Pete (Mary) Garcia of Waukesha, Dominga (Robert) Diluch of Texas, Herminia Falcon of Texas, Lucy (Victor) Sales of Texas, and Gloria (Albert) Mancia of Texas.  In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her son, Frank, Jr., two brothers, two sisters, and her parents.  Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 25, 2009 from 3:00 PM until the 6:00 PM Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha.  Fr.
