Elizabeth M. Byrne

Elizabeth “Bettie” M. Byrne, of Waukesha, died on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 86.  She was born in Waukesha on February 13, 1922 the daughter of Herman and Muriel (nee Menick) Yopps.  She was a 1940 graduate of Waukesha High School and on May 29, 1948 married her husband James Byrne.  Bettie was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary Post #5716 in New Berlin.  She was a lifetime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a part of the Christian Women. Bettie was a very devoted wife and loving mother. She will be sadly missed by her husband: James Byrne of Waukesha, her children: Michael Byrne of Mukwonago, Patricia Byrne, Stephen (Claudia) Byrne, Timothy (Roxanne) Byrne, Thomas Byrne, Kathleen (Fred) Gamez, Colleen (Steven) Bauer, and Terrence (Christine) Byrne all of Waukesha, her grandchildren: Eric, Lauren and Allison Byrne of Brookfield, Jeffrey (Angelique) Byrne of Waukesha, Andrew (Maureen) Byrne of Wauwatosa, Rebecca (Matthew) Freisleben of New Berlin, James and Suzanne Byrne of Waukesha, Gabrielle and Elise Gamez of Waukesha, Emily Bauer and Zachary Jaeger both of Waukesha, her great-grandchildren: Isabelle Freisleben, Camden Byrne, Josephine Byrne, and Connor Gamez.  Bettie is further survived by her sisters Sally Byrne of Waukesha, and Lois Seidl of Butler, her sister-in-law Margaret Farner of New Berlin along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.  She is preceded in death by her sister Eleanor (the late Howard) Ramstack, Evelyn (the late Edward) Krahn, brothers-in-law Conrad Farner and Howard Byrne,Roland Seidl, Francis Byrne and her daughter-in-law Laura Huebner Byrne. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2008 from 4:00 until 8:00PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI.  A parish vigil service will be held at 7:00PM.  A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 12, 2008 at 10:30AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 822 N.
