Elizabeth Knoebel

June 16, 1924 — March 4, 2010

Elizabeth J. Knoebel of Wales, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at Shorehaven Nursing Home in Oconomowoc at the age of 85.  She was born on June 16, 1924 in Genesee, WI to Thomas and Elizabeth (nee:  Williams) Evans.  She was a 1942 graduate of Waukesha High School.  On November 19, 1949 she married William Knoebel at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukesha.  She had been a postal worker for many years at Wales, Sullivan and Waukesha, retiring in 1986.  She has been a lifelong member of Jerusalem Presbyterian Church in Wales. She will be sadly missed by her children Patrick (Lori) Knoebel of Eagle and Nancy (Edson) Knoebel-Rodrigues of Jersey City, New Jersey.  Dear grandmother of Breanna and Brett Knoebel.  She is further survived by her brother Robert (Dee) Evans of Clyman, other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husband William on Jan. 22, 2006, son Robert Knoebel, siblings Jean Pronold, Byron, Merlin “Red”, Clayton and Harold Evans and Janet O’Rourke. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 7 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.  A second visitation will be held Monday, March 8 from 10:30 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Jerusalem Presbyterian Church, 207 Main St. in Wales.  Graveside services will follow at St. Paul Cemetery.  Memorials in Elizabeth’s name are appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association, 620 S. 76th St. Suite 160, Milwaukee, WI  53214-1549.  For further information, please call Randle-Dable Funeral, Cremation and Preplanning Services at (262) 547-4035, or go to www.waukeshafunerals.com for directions or to leave an on-line tribute.
