Edward M. "Ed" Blizewski, longtime Missouri resident, died on Saturday, September 8, 2007 at Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center in Milwaukee, WI at the age 83. He was born on December 6, 1923 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Waclaw and Rozalia (Palen) Blizewski. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1943 to 1944. He graduated in 1946 from Fordham University. On June 12, 1948, Ed married Martha Jeannette Richards at St. Patrick's Church in St. Joseph, MO. Ed worked as a Criminal Inspector of Immigration and Naturalization for the Department of Justice until retiring in 1978. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Church in Gladstone, MO. Ed will be sadly missed by his wife, Martha, currently of Waukesha, WI; his two children: Susan Barnhart of Delafield, WI, and Brent (Cindy) Blizewski of Charlotte, NC; and 3 grandchildren: Britta and Jenna Barnhart, and Rachael Blizewski. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, Casimir Rusak, and son-in-law, Scott Barnhart. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 from 8:00 AM until the 9:00 AM funeral Mass at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 900 NE Shady Lane Dr., Oakview, MO 64118.
