Earl D. Sill

Earl D. Sill, of Waukesha, died on Monday, January 11, 2016 at Seasons Hospice at age 85. He was born in Moline, IL on January 21, 1931 the son of Delbert and Frances (nee Peterson) Sill. Earl’s father died when he was young and his mother married Lee Colvin, who helped raise him. On December 20, 1952 he married Donna Rasmussen in Hawaii while he proudly served his country in the United States Marines. Earl worked at International Harvester for 45 years as the head of the I.T. Department, before “IT Dept” was in our vocabulary. He loved to be outdoors, shoveling snow, raking leaves and complaining about the lawn mower not working. Earl also enjoyed mini golf and making pancakes for his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 64 years, Donna and their children, Jay (Lori), Joan (Scott), Amy (Geno) and Allen (Kelly). He was the proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother Howard “Ron” (Jeanine), his sister Charlene (Jack) along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Delbert and grandson Brian.

Private services will be held with natural burial at Prairie Home Cemetery in Waukesha.
