Dorothy Adams

November 21, 1919 — December 22, 2009

Dorothy P. Adams (nee: Steele) 90, of North Prairie formerly of Waukesha died December 22, 2009 at her home.  She was born in Fargo, North Dakota on November 21, 1919 the daughter of Del and Mary (nee: Baddgor) Steele.  Her early years were spent growing up in Minnesota and Wisconsin.  During World War II she lived in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and worked at Scientific Radio Products Co. making radio crystals for the military.  She was always very proud that on October 2, 1943 Scientific Radio Products Co. was awarded the Army, Navy “E” Award for the high achievement in the production of materials of war.  After returning to Waukesha she married David J. Adams on December 3, 1945.   He preceded her in death in 2004.  Dorothy enjoyed bowling and was a member of several teams in Waukesha including: Tuschen Rudolph Morticians, The Hub, Sportsman Bar, and Beckers Sporting Goods.  She also enjoyed traveling and was fortunate to make several family trips to many parts of the United States and Canada. She will be sadly missed by her son and daughter-in-law William & Ann Marie (nee: Hermanowicz) Adams of Chicago, Illinois, and her daughter and beloved grandson Patricia & Joshua Adams both of North Prairie. Family and friends may call from 10:30 AM until the 12:30 PM funeral service Monday December 28, 2009 at Randle Dable Funeral Home 1110 S. Grand Avenue Waukesha.  Graveside services will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.  Rev.
