Don D. Herek

Don D. Herek, of Elkhorn, died Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at his home at the age of 56. He was born on May 18, 1958, in Waukesha, the son of Ambrose and Gertrude (nee Pezewski) Herek. On July 30, 2012 he married Kristi (nee Palmer) Herek in Rhinelander. Don enjoyed taking his motorcycle on long trips with his family and friends and taking part in benefit rides. He was the maintenance manager for Regency Senior Community in Muskego.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Kristi of Elkhorn, brothers Bob (Karen) Herek in Beloit and Rick (Colleen) Herek of Waukesha. Dear uncle of Tony (Vicky) Herek of Beloit, Kristen Herek of Beloit, Chris (Jessica) Herek of Waukesha and Meagan Rukavina of Missouri. He is further survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Mike & Vicki Palmer of Pelican Lake, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Mary Herek.
