Darrell Kreft

January 25, 1945 — May 7, 2011

Darrell G. Kreft, a 40 year resident of Waukesha, died on Saturday, May 7, 2011 at Season’s Hospice at the age of 66. He was born on January 25, 1945 in Wisconsin Rapids and was raised in Colgate, the son of Paul and Katie (nee Williams) Kreft. He was a 1963 graduate of Stoughton High School. For 36 years he worked for A.O. Smith, retiring in 2001. He was currently working at the Waukesha Recycling Center on Sentry Drive. He has been a longtime member of Ascension Lutheran Church and was very involved with the church administration and Sunday school. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of D.J. Martin American Legion Post 8. He will be sadly missed by his wife Barbara (nee Bultman), whom he married on November 5, 1966, along with their children: Jeffery (Julie) Kreft of Allenton, Katie (Todd) Oilschlager of Rubicon and John (Adriene) Kreft of Iron Ridge. Dear grandfather of Ashley, Olivia, Celia and Mariah. He is further survived by his brothers John (Karen) Neuman of Ironwood, MI and Richard Neuman of Wisconsin Rapids; sister Dolores Giloy of Sussex and her son Mike a very dedicated nephew in Darrell’s life; brothers-in-law Bruce Bultman of Milwaukee, Glenn (Kathy) Bultman of Franklin, Neal (Kathy) Bultman of FL, Roger (Kenia) Bultman of AL, Ralph (Mary Kay) Bultman of Brookfield, Allen (Janet) Bultman of Milwaukee, Gerald (Mary) Bultman of Waukesha, John (Linda) Bultman of Sussex and Brian (Anne) Bultman of IL; sisters-in-law Lois Brown of Brown Deer, Elaine Nissen of IL, Carol (Tom) Tumneff of AZ, Diane (Bob) Beck of West Bend, Debbie (Paul) Swenarski of Fredonia, Joyce Takeda of NY, Linda Wendt of Brookfield and Janet (Randy) Venne of Oconomowoc, 65 nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will take place on Sunday, May 15 from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm at Randle-Dable Funeral Home 1110 S. Grand Avenue Waukesha.   A second visitation will be held on Monday, May 16 from 10:00 am until the 11:00 am funeral service at Ascension Lutheran Church 1415 Dopp Street Waukesha.  The procession  will be leaving the church Monday, May 16 at 2:00 pm  for the graveside services at Wisconsin Memorial Park at 2:30 pm.  In lieu of flowers The Darrell Kreft Memorial Fund has been established through any Guaranty Bank location (all checks should be made payable to Jeff Kreft).
