Daniel O Staffeldt

Daniel O. Staffeldt, 69, of Waukesha died on Wednesday, November 23, 2016 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital. He was born in Waukesha on March 14, 1947 the son of Orman and Vivian (nee: Dexter) Staffeldt. On August 10, 1968, he married the former Trudy Mielke at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha. Dan was a lifelong Waukesha resident, and graduated in 1965 from Waukesha South High School, served his country as a Marine during Vietnam from 1966 until 1968, and then he worked as a crew leader for WE Energies in the gas division. He was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, American Legion DJ Martin Post #8 in Waukesha, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2260 in Oconomowoc, Ducks Unlimited, and the National Rifle Association. Dan loved fishing, hunting, animals, the Brewers, and the Packers but most of all cherished the time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.

He will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Trudy of Waukesha and their children, Ben (Fiancée Suzana Fregoso) Staffeldt of Waukesha, Annie (Derek) DiPietro of Waukesha, and Caleb Staffeldt of Waukesha. His sisters: Karen Schwulst of Waukesha, and Nancy (Bill) Dixon of Waukesha, and his sister-in-law Patti Staffeldt of Waukesha. He is also the proud grandfather of Sam DiPietro, Mia DiPietro, Vivian Staffeldt, and Ariana Petrie. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother John, brother-in-law Warren Schwulst and niece Jenna Dixon.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 4:00 PM until the time of the 7:00 PM funeral service at Randle Dable Brisk Funeral Home 1110 S Grand Avenue Waukesha, WI 53186. Rev. Kathy Boadwine will preside. The funeral procession will leave the funeral home Wednesday November 30 at 9:45 AM for the graveside services with full military honors that will be held at Prairie Home Cemetery at 10:00 AM.
