Daniel L. Schneiter

Daniel L. “Danny” Schneiter, 67, of Waukesha, passed away Saturday, June 13, 2015, at his home in Waukesha.

Daniel was born on March 16, 1948, in Chicago, Ill., the son of William L. Schneiter and Amanda H. (Bautzman) Schneiter. He was married to Sandra R. (Greene) Schneiter in Waukesha.

Danny enjoyed fishing, especially catching salmon on Lake Michigan. He was a professional bodybuilder and won the title of Mr. Wisconsin in 1985 in addition to several other titles.

He will be deeply missed by his children, Cairie “Mel” Virrueta of Elkhorn, Misty “Jim” Quinn of Genoa City and Leah Schneiter of Beaver Dam; his brothers Michael P. (JoEllyn) Schultz of Pardeeville and Richard A. (Debbie) Schneiter of Randolph; and his sisters Susan A. Hundley of Sheboygan, Kathleen B. (special friend Mark) Geertsma of Randolph and Laura J. (Jon) Katsma of Fox Lake. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother William J. Schultz; brother-in-law William Hundley; and nephew Jeremy D. Geertsma.

A memorial service will be held at the Prairie Home Cemetery Chapel, located at 605 S. Prairie Avenue in Waukesha, on June 26 at 12:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow the service.
