WAUKESHA-Daniel C. DeStefano, of Waukesha, died Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at his Waukesha home at the age of 72. He was born on July 24, 1935 in Waukesha to Dan and Ann (nee: Abfall) DeStefano. Dan proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was an alumni of Catholic Memorial High School. He had worked for the State of Wisconsin and Waukesha Foundry, retiring in 1993. He was co-owner of Danny's Tap on Main Street in Waukesha. He had lived at the Mountain Village apartments for the past 14 years. Dan was an avid sports fan and enjoyed all sports. Dan is survived by his sister Suzanne (Bill) Hoffman of Waukesha, nephew Marc (Maureen) Hoffman of Waukesha, niece Wendy (Ted) Maus of Brookfield, great nieces Laura and Victoria Hoffman of Waukesha, great nephews Bill and Matthew Maus of Brookfield, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 15 from 9:30 AM until the 10:30 AM Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha.
