Constance Knight

March 8, 1920 — April 23, 2008

Constance A. "Connie" Knight, of Waukesha, died on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at LindenGrove Health Care Center at the age of 88. She was born on March 8, 1920 in Markesan, WI, the daughter of John and Evaline (Dahlke) Braskamp. Connie graduated from Fond du Lac High School in 1937, then went on to attend Carroll College for two years. In her early years, she was very active in community service and church work. During the 1950's, Connie was a program leader for the Waukesha Park and Rec. Department's "Tots" pre-school program, followed by being an organizer and volunteer for the Golden Agers Program during the 1960's. She was also employed for Boston Store for several years, and was a longtime member of Christ the Servant Lutheran Church in Waukesha. Connie will be sadly missed by her son, Terry (Colleen) Knight of Rochester, MN; 2 grandchildren: Kelly Knight of Sacramento, CA, and Shannon (Brent) Brankley of Rochester, MN; 2 great-grandchildren: Evan and Alex Brankley; and her former husband, Raymond Knight. She is preceded in death by one brother, Jack Braskamp, and her parents. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 28, 2008 from 9:00 AM until the 11:00 AM funeral service at Christ the Servant Lutheran Church, 2016 Center Rd., Waukesha. Rev. Rick Engen will preside. Graveside services will follow at Wisconsin Memorial Park, Brookfield. Memorials may be made to the church (address above).
