Clarence R. Laughhunn

Clarence R. Laughhunn, of Waukesha, died on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at his home at the age of 91. He was born in Centralia, IL on February 13, 1924 the son of Fred and Eda (nee Knipping) Laughhunn. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1943 until 1946. On November 8, 1947 he married Pat Dodillet at Trinity Lutheran Church in Centralia, IL; she preceded him in death. Clarence worked at the Waukesha Freeman as a foreman of the press room from 1956 until retiring in 1988. In his retirement he returned to work at the Freeman as the stockroom manager from 1990 until 2006 and worked part-time at the downtown Waukesha State Bank. He was a longtime and devoted member of Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church since 1956.

He will be sadly missed by his sister, Paula Moler of Ohio along with nieces, nephews, his church family, other relatives and friends. In addition to his wife Pat, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Charles “Chuck” and Fred.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 from 6:00PM until the time of the 6:30PM funeral service at Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church, 1205 S. East Avenue, Waukesha, WI 53186. The Reverend Peter A. Schmidt will preside. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at 10:30AM at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Centralia, IL. Memorials in Clarence’s name are appreciated to Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church (address above).
