Catarino Monreal

November 25, 1928 — July 29, 2006

Waukesha-Long-time Waukesha resident Catarino "Cat" Monreal age 77 died on Saturday, July 29, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his children. He was born in Ennis, Texas on November 25, 1928 to Fernando and Adela (Lucio) Monreal. On January 21, 1956 he married the former Elizabeth Jimenez at St. Joseph Church here in Waukesha. Cat was a member of the National Guard and D.J. Martin, American Legion Post #8. He retired from Quality Aluminum Casting Corporation after 39 years. He also volunteered at the Red Cross and in retirement, worked for Stephan Fork Lift. He is survived by his children: Anthony Monreal, Mike Monreal, Annette (Brad) Wagner and Theresa (Jose') Enriquez; grandchildren: Miguel and Mikayla Enriquez and Rachael and Nicholas Wagner; siblings: Virginia (Chico) Hurtado, Dora (the late Eddie) Rodriquez and Simon (Paula) Monreal. Nieces, nephews other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elizabeth, a son Fernando "Nando" and three sisters: Hortencia (the late Raymond) Ojeda, Mary (Pete) Villareal and Mary (the late Tom) Montez. Visitation for Cat will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2006 from 11:30 AM -12:30 PM at the Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, with prayers beginning at 12:30 PM followed by a procession to St. Joseph Church for the 1:00 P.M. Funeral Mass. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery with full military honors.
