Betty Rhyner

December 10, 1926 — July 5, 2009

Betty “Jane” Rhyner, of Jackson, formerly of Waukesha, died on Sunday, July 5, 2009 at Jackson Crossings Retirement Community at the age of 82.  She was born on December 10, 1926 in Mountain, WI the daughter of John and Euva (nee Bradley) Jameson.  Jane had a passion for music and had a lifelong involvement with children’s music groups where she started The Sunshine Kids music group.  She taught music at St. Mary’s Catholic School in Waukesha and at Brookfield Academy. Jane was on the board of directors for the Waukesha Symphony, a member of the Waukesha Service Club and was a 4H leader.  She will be greatly missed by her children: Jeanne (Donald) Lyons of Waukesha, James (Kathy) Rhyner of Northfield, MN, Amy Lloyd of Elm Grove, Michael (Jeanine) Rhyner of Wales, Joel Rhyner of Waukesha, Peter (Sandi) Rhyner of Hartland, Jay (Bonnie) Rhyner of Wales, and Lisa Rhyner of Berthod, CO, her grandchildren: Meghan Lyons, Monica Howard, Sarah Vega, Eric Rhyner, Craig Rhyner, William Lloyd, Max Lloyd, Louise Lloyd, Jon Rhyner, Michelle Rhyner, Amanda Rhyner, Amber Rhyner, Thomas Rhyner, Ashley Dufek, and Nicole Rhyner, great grandchildren: LillyAnna Vega, Lilah Vega, Ashleigh Vaughn, William Vaughn, Myrah Howard and Noah Dufek.  She is further survived by her brother John (Chris) Jameson and sister’s  Dolly and Sis along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her first husband Charles Joy and her second husband Roger Rhyner. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2009 from 11:00AM until the 1:00PM Funeral Mass at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 822 N. East Ave., Waukesha.  Rev. Bill Key will preside.  Committal services will immediately follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.  If desired, memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association – Southeastern Wisconsin Chapter, 6130 W.
