Betty Haideman-Wax

April 2, 1931 — May 9, 2012

Betty Haideman-Wax, of Waukesha, was born to Eternal life on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 81.  She is reunited with her husband George who preceded her in death on November 9, 2007. Betty was born in Milwaukee on April 2, 1931, the daughter of George and Harriet (nee Pappas) Haideman.  She worked at SEWRPC for 25 years until her retirement.  In her retirement she enjoyed volunteering at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and valued the relationships she made there.  She loved reading, working on her computer and fussing over the people she loved.  She cherished her Greek heritage and loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and friends.  “General” was one of a kind as she liked to say. She loved completely and many benefited from her generous spirit.  She will be sadly missed by her daughter Sue (Randy) Pallister of Waukesha and her son Mark Gargan of Milwaukee and her grandchildren Daniel, Stephanie and Michael.  She was the cherished sister of Georgia Haideman and Ann Gerhard and dear friend of Pamela and Edwin Colon and June Wright.  She loved to get into “mischief” with them and said her time with them was precious.  She is further survived by many wonderful friends and relatives.  In addition to her husband George and her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Katherine Weiss.  The family gratefully acknowledges the outstanding care and support Betty received from Dr. Gerald Berman, Dr. Janis Kengis and Dr. Kooroush Saeian. A special thank you to Kari and Lindsey and the nurses on 2SW. Mom, you tried so hard to be there on Saturday, and you will be in spirit.  The heart holds memories that last a lifetime.  Rest in peace, General, you earned it. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 from 4:00 until the 7:30PM funeral service at Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue, Waukesha.  Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16 at Pinelawn Memorial Park in Milwaukee. Memorials are appreciated to the family.  For further information, please call Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral, Cremation and Preplanning Services at (262) 547-4035, or go to www.waukeshafunerals.com for directions or to leave the family an on-line tribute message.
