Beatrice M. Smith

Beatrice “Bea” Marie Smith (nee Stevens), of Waukesha, died peacefully on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at the age of 80. She was born in La Crosse on June 7, 1933 the daughter of George and Violet (nee Malloy) Stevens. Beatrice worked many jobs including housekeeping services at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and as a baker at Carroll College. Bea enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, playing bingo and “yard sale-ing” in her retirement. Bea was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church and most recently attended Faith Springs Church in Pewaukee.

Beloved mother of Debora (Oddo) Jarvis and Jeffery Smith. Remembered fondly by her grandchildren Victor Oddo and Ottavia (Jeff) Patterson. Dear sister of Jerry Stevens and sister-in-law of Kathy Stevens. Also remembered by her loving caretakers and friends from Chateau Group Home and many friends from Bethesda Presbyterian Church and Homemakers and TOPS Clubs. Preceded in death by her husband James, son Terry and five siblings.

Visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014 from 3:00PM until the time of the 6:00PM funeral service at the Randle-Dable-Brisk Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Avenue., Waukesha. Pastor Ann Gibbs will preside. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 11:00AM at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery in Pewaukee. Please meet at the cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Salvation Army, 445 Madison Street, Waukesha, WI 53188 or to the Food Pantry of Waukesha County, 1301 Sentry Drive, Waukesha, WI 53186.
