Arlene Kumm

January 24, 1946 — April 26, 2009

Arlene “Little One” Kumm, of Waukesha, went home to her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 26, 2009 at Waukesha Memorial Hospital at the age of 63 with her family by her side.  She was born on January 24, 1946 in Milwaukee, the daughter of Clarence and Hilda (Kringel) Tischer.  Arlene was united in marriage to Karl Kumm on September 28, 1968 in Jackson, WI.  She worked at WCTC as an administrative assistant for more than 15 years.  As a longtime member of Fox River Christian Church in Waukesha, she enjoyed volunteering as a coordinator of the “People Greeters.”  Arlene always kept busy with baking and gardening, and was especially proud of her flowers.  With a love of the outdoors, she enjoyed camping, biking and taking walks with the family dog, Rascal, at the dog park.  But the most important part of doing those things was the quality time spent with her family and friends.  Arlene will always be fondly remembered as a loving and devoted wife and mother.  Arlene will be sadly missed by her husband, Karl of Waukesha; two sons:  Karl Kumm and Brian Kumm both of Waukesha; daughter, Melinda Kumm; “grand-puppy” Rascal; two brothers:  Ronald (Margie) Tischer of Germantown, and Dennis (Freddie) Tischer of Jackson; one sister, Sharon (Mark) Schmeling of Rubicon; brother-in-law, Ervin (Bonnie) Kumm of Champaign, IL; and mother-in-law, Mildred Kumm of Waukesha.  She was preceded in death by her parents.  Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2009 from 5:00 PM until 7:30 PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.  Services continue on Friday, May 1, 2009 at Fox River Christian Church, S46 W24130 Lawnsdale Rd, Waukesha, WI 53189 with visitation from 10:30 AM until the 11:00 AM Funeral Service.  Please use the west entrance of the church.  Entombment will immediately follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to the church (address above).  For further information, please call Randle-Dable Funeral, Cremation and Preplanning Services at (262) 547-4035, or go to www.waukeshafunerals.com for directions or to leave an on-line tribute.
