Amelia Sereno

Amelia M. “Millie” Sereno, of Waukesha, died on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at her home with her family by her side at the age of 90 years.  She was born on September 11, 1918 in LaValle, WI, the daughter of Adolph and Marie (Doro) Wiese.  Amelia was united in marriage to Arthur Sereno on December 1, 1939 in Iowa; he preceded her in death in 1998.  She was employed at Amron Corp. in Waukesha, retiring in 1975.  She was also a longtime member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Waukesha.  Along with her husband, she loved music and dancing.  Millie also enjoyed doing crafts, which included ceramics and knitting.  But her greatest love of all was her children, grandchildren, and family. Millie will be sadly missed by her children:  Albert (friend Carol) Sereno, Richard (Susan) Sereno, and Sue (friend John, Jr.) Cotton , all of Waukesha; grandchildren:  Joe (friend Debbie) Sereno, Ken Sereno, Jeff (friend Jackie) Sereno, Greg Cotton, Michael (Kelly) Sereno, and Andrea Sereno; great-grandchildren:  Russ Sereno, Amanda J. Gale, Cailin Sereno, Kiley Sereno, and Kira Sereno; and great-great-grandchidren:  Scarlet and Lynea.  She is also survived by her special friend, Wanda Pritchard of MN; and her two little friends:  Monica Rose and Veronica Lopez.  In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by siblings:  Paul Wiese, Herman Wiese, Anna Pagel, Elsie Olson, Arthur “Sonny” Wiese; and her parents. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 from 4:00 PM until the 7:00 PM funeral service at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha, WI. Rev.
