Alvin Betker

Alvin J. Betker of Waukesha, found peace December 14, 2007 at AngelsGrace hospice in Oconomowoc at age 96. Alvin was born August 30, 1911, son of the late James Herman Betker and Josephine (nee: Glasenap) Betker. He married Elsie Roth on April 16, 1933 and was married for 63 years until her death on June 12, 1995. He worked at Portic (Butler Bin) until he retired and then worked for his son?in-law at Broadway Standard station until it closed, he then was a crossing guard until he retired in 1991. He served as secretary of the union at Portic until he retired. He played dartball in a city league, which won many championships, and he liked to garden. He was the loving father of Geraldine (the late William) Kabitzke of Waukesha. Grandfather of Melody Pauer, great-grandfather of Stefanie Fox and Kevin Ziolkowski; great great grandfather to Connor, Grace and Zander. He is further survived by nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. In addition to he parents and his wife, Elsie, he was preceded in death by his brothers: Ed (Marcella) Betker, Ramon, Eugene, Clarence (Myrtle) Betker. Visitation and services will be held Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave. Visitation from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral Services will begin at 11:00 AM. Graveside Services will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery.
