Alma Chase

April 16, 1928 — June 5, 2009

Alma “Jane” Chase of Waukesha, died unexpectedly on Friday, June 5, 2009 at her home at the age of 81.  She was born on April 16, 1928 in Whitewater, Wisconsin, the daughter of John and Alma (nee: Zimmerman) O’Donnell.  Jane was a 1946 graduate of Whitewater High School, and enjoyed attending class reunions in the years that followed.  She was united in marriage to Robert J. Chase on July 31, 1950 in Nebraska.  Together they were longtime members of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Waukesha.  Jane made a career out of taking care of her family, and was especially proud of her Irish heritage.  She enjoyed stamp and coin collecting, knitting, but her favorite pastime was playing cribbage.    Jane will be sadly missed by her husband of 58 years, Robert “Bob” of Waukesha; son, Peter (Marcia) Chase of Johnson Creek; grandchildren:  Robert and Kristi Chase; two great-grandchildren; sister, Beatrice Peyer of Palmyra; brother, Francis (Rita) O’Donnell of Madison; and nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, and one brother.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Randle-Dable Funeral Home, 1110 S. Grand Ave., Waukesha.  A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 822 N.
