Alec William Sennett

November 16, 1990 — April 28, 2015

After 7 years of valiant struggle with anxiety and depression, Alec W. Sennett, 24, of Waukesha, Wisconsin, ended his pain on Tuesday, April 28th. Alec was born on November 16, 1990, in Aurora, IL, the son of John and Anita Sennett (nee Klambauer). He spent most of his childhood in Big Rock, IL, attending Big Rock Elementary. The family moved to Waukesha, Wisconsin, in 2002 where Alec attended Rose Glen Elementary, Central Middle School and Waukesha West High School. He earned his GED from Waukesha County Technical College. He went on to live in Madison and Waukesha, working in landscaping and earning a pesticide application certificate.

Alec was a quick study, walking at 9 months and talking in sentences by 18 months. He was an avid reader from a young age. He was bold and adventurous and enjoyed riding his bike, jumping ramps his Opa built him as a child, and taking a spur of the moment bike trip from Waukesha to Madison as an adult. He played baseball in grade school, ran track and played football in middle school, but his true love was soccer. He started playing at the age of 4 and went on to play as a starter for select and elite teams. He loved music and playing guitar. He was a fast and fearless ATV rider. He was a true nature lover and outdoorsman. Nothing made him happier than camping and hiking through the woods. He loved fishing and spending time at the family lake house and continued to enjoy time on his Oma and Opa’s farm, even as an adult.

Although admittedly stubborn and strong-willed, Alec was a sweet, sensitive soul. Fiercely loyal to his brother, Sean, his friends and his family, there was nothing Alec wouldn’t do for someone he cared about. Although he struggled with illness throughout his adult life, his generous nature still shone through. He said that what he wanted to do most in life was make people laugh, and he did. His smile was a ray of sunshine, and his spirit will shine on forever.

Alec will be greatly missed by his brother, Sean M. Sennett and parents John and Anita Sennett of Waukesha, WI; grandparents Simon and Hilde Klambauer of Big Rock, IL and Joyce Sennett of Winfield, IL; cousins Luke (Amanda) and Dan Cronin of Geneva and Naperville, IL respectively; Alexandra, Melissa and Andrew Klambauer of Hinckley, IL; Katie and Dan Acheson of Chicago, IL; Dayna (Todd) Sweders of West Chicago, IL; Taylor, Haley and Jillian Sennett of Colorado; Delaney and Jon Sennett of Peoria, IL; John Franko of Maryland; Lisa (Arjun)Thomas of Boston, MA; Erin (Drew) Greer of Atlanta, GA; aunts and uncles Sheila Sennett and Jan Finch of Winfield, IL; Cindy Cronin of Winfield, IL; Barb Franko of Charlottesville, VA; Lee & Lori Sennett of Littleton, CO; Pete Sennett and Donna Welch of Batavia, IL; Paul Sennett of Phoenix, AZ ; Jennifer Klambauer of Hinckley, IL; Godfather William Isaacs of Batavia, IL; and all of his friends. Alec was preceded in death by his grandfather and namesake Albert Sennett and his uncle Karl Klambauer.

Private services will be held for the immediate family. Memorial donations may be made to NAMI Waukesha, 217 Wisconsin Ave Ste 300, Waukesha, WI 53186.
