WAUKESHA-Alan W. Borton, 44, of Waukesha, formerly of Richland Center, died Sunday, November 5, 2006 at his home. He was born in Richland Center on October 26, 1962 to Edward and Barbara (nee: Gillingham) Borton. On May 25, 1985 he married the former Kelly Felton at Peace United Methodist Church in Richland Center. He received his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in May 1987. Following graduation he had been employed with Kornacki and Associates and for the past 2 years has co-owned Titan Electrical Contractors. He has been a member of First United Methodist Church since 1991. When Alan's sons were younger, he coached their soccer teams and enjoyed playing basketball with all the neighborhood kids. He loved the outdoors and spent his time fishing, hunting and working on the family farm in Richland Center. He was always involved with projects, whether it be helping the church, family or friends. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Kelly, of Waukesha, along with their children Ben, Zack and Reese Borton all of Waukesha, his parents Ed and Barb Borton of Richland Center, grandmother Elsie Gillingham of Richland Center, nephew Nathaniel Borton of Stevens Point, nieces McKenna Eshelman of Virginia and Grace Bladl of Richland Center. He is further survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Earl and Marcia Felton of Richland Center, sisters-in-law Jodi (Matt) Eshelman of Virginia and Dana (Steve) Bladl of Richland Center, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Gary on November 14, 2004, and grandparents Ira and Millie Borton and Robert Gillingham. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2006 from 4:00 PM until the 7:00 PM Funeral Service at First United Methodist Church, 121 Wisconsin Avenue in Waukesha. A second visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2006 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Pratt Funeral Home, 120 N. Park Street in Richland Center. A private family burial will take place at Woodstock Cemetery. Memorials in Alan's name will be used to establish an educational fund for his sons.
