Our History

Elders Randle-Dable Funeral Home was founded by J.K. Randle who purchased Knapp Brothers Furniture Store on Main Street in Waukesha. His son, Harrie, joined the firm in 1900 beginning a family tradition of serving the community in homes, churches and the funeral home itself. In 1939, J.K.'s grandson, John B. Randle joined the firm, and in 1946 after serving in World War II, grandson, William S. Randle became a licensed funeral director. It was under William Randle's leadership that the firm merged with two other local funeral homes, Weber and Hanson Funeral Homes. In 1972, funeral director Martin Dable became co-owner and partner with William Randle, and they purchased the current location at 1110 South Grand Avenue.

BrisksContinuing the Tradition

In 1988 Lee Brisk and Cathleen Brueckner were hired as funeral directors. Over the next several years they assumed many management responsibilities. In accordance with Martin Dable's strong desire to keep the funeral home independent and locally owned, he selected Lee and Cathleen Brisk as his successors. Martin, Lee and Cathleen share the pride of independence as well as their commitment to the Waukesha community.
